[BOOKING LINK]

Note: Marriott will show a $50 destination fee in the nightly rate, but this is waived for our guests and will be removed on your final bill at hotel check-out. The room block will auto-default to April 21–27, but you can adjust your dates when booking.

If booking by phone, be sure to mention the wedding block “Erikka & James: Join Us at the kīkī”

Availability is limited, so we suggest booking early to secure your spot.

The Laylow is located in the heart of Waikīkī, about 15 minutes from the ceremony venue in Honolulu. Shuttle transportation will be provided from the hotel to the ceremony, and then back to Waikīkī for the after-party.

DRESS CODE

Think Island Formal with personality.

Since our wedding is small and intimate, we think of everyone as part of the wedding party, and we’d love for our photos to reflect that.

We’ve pulled together a mood board for inspiration below to help set the tone.

Think rich, saturated hues, vibrancy, and tropical prints.

Golds, greens, earthy reds, ochres, and warm sunset tones fit the setting. Skip black – if you’re looking for a neutral, opt for a rich, warm brown instead.

Guys - no ties, jackets optional.

In short: dress up, be bold, and have fun with it!

YOU’VE GOT
QUESTIONS

WE’VE GOT ANSWERS

  • To our loved ones who don’t have TikTok or watch RuPaul's Drag Race, kīkī is a term, which refers to a friendly, celebratory gathering. Kīkī originated in Black queer ballroom culture and later became popular slang for a lively get-together among friends.

  • We love your little ones, but this kīkī will be adults only. Erikka and James expect a certain level of shot taking & ass shaking, and we’d hate for anyone’s bedtime to interfere.

  • Mostly outdoors, so plan for warm weather and light fabrics. Dinner will be in an open-air space, unless it’s too hot — in which case, it can be enclosed and air-conditioned.

  • Shuttle service will be provided from The Laylow to the ceremony and to the after-party venue back in Waikīkī. Guests can easily return to the hotel afterward by short Uber/Lyft. Times will be announced closer to the date and added here once confirmed.

If you have an unusual aversion to shuttles, you’re welcome to make your own way to the venue if you prefer, but please note there is no guest parking available, so rideshare is strongly recommended.

  • Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is about 25 minutes from Waikīkī. Most folks take a rideshare (Uber or Lyft) or taxi directly to The Laylow. Private car services and shuttles are also available through several local providers if you prefer to book in advance.

  • Only if you want to. Most things in Waikīkī are walkable or a short Uber away. If you’d like to explore more of the island, renting a car (maybe a convertible?) isn’t a bad idea.

  • You can do what you want – we’re not your parents. But that’s where we’ll be!

  • Minimum of two nights If you’d like to arrive earlier or stay later, call the hotel directly — they can extend the discounted rate up to two days before or after the block dates.

  • Typically mid to low 80s and sunny with a light breeze during the day, with evenings in the 70s. The ocean temp averages around 77°F.
